What is the Scoutwest Time Tracker?
Standard Time is a Windows-based and Web-based time tracker. It
also runs on Palm OS and Pocket PC. Time tracking can occur in
a number of ways, including a timer, timesheet, project tasks, quick
tasks, and handhelds. Users can choose any platform that seems
appropriate for them to track time. If they are in the office
on a LAN, they could use the Windows version. If they are
offsite, they could use the web or handheld versions.
Windows and Web Time Tracker
Time Tracker options:
Standard Time offers the following ways to track time.
Timesheet
Each employee will see their own projects and tasks in the Standard
Time timesheet. Simply enter time against a project and task.
Users will share a central database where administrators can manage
all projects, clients, tasks, etc. This makes Standard Time a
simple employee time tracker, where the results can be used for
client billing and project management.
Task Timer
Employees can start and stop a timer when they work. This will
track time as they work. All time collected in this way will
be shown in the timesheet.
Project Tasks
Each project in Standard Time may have a hierarchy of tasks.
You can enter time into the timesheet, or start the timer for any
task. Managers can run reports from the time tracker that show
where company time has been spent.
Handhelds
Standard Time runs on Palm OS and Pocket PC. You can start and
stop a timer on those devices, or enter time against project tasks.
