What is Standard Time?
Standard Time is an employee time sheet software tool that offers weekly web time sheets for multiple users. Employees may enter time for multiple projects and tasks into their web time sheet. Each employee time sheet may then be submitted, approved, and locked. The timesheet is available for Windows and Web clients. A simple web-browser is all you need. The time sheet software is only one part of the product. Standard Time contains project management features in addition to the employee time sheet. The Standard Time web time sheet contains rows for each project. Each Project row can be expanded to show the quick tasks under it. Quick Tasks are specially marked project tasks. Quick Tasks will also show up in the system tray icon and in the Quick Task window. This makes Standard Time a single-click system. Users can simply enter time into the appropriate cell that represents the task and day of the week in the time sheet. Users can limit the number of quick tasks, which will make the timesheet simpler to work with. A dropdown choice lets you see time for each week. Simply choose the week that you wish to enter time. The weekly time sheet is intended to show time for the current user that is logged in. However, administrators can view time for any employee within their group. A filter panel at the left side of the main window allows you to click on a user to show time in the timesheet for that user. This allows managers and executives to check timesheets for employees. Non-administrative users can only see their own time.

Users can submit their timesheet for approval. A button at the bottom of the time sheet window offers this capability. When a timesheet is submitted, a small certification icon is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window. This certifies that the user has submitt4ed the timesheet. When administrators click this button it opens a window that allows them to see the submission, approval, and lock status of every employee's timesheet. Managers can approve timesheets and lock them for each user. A locked time sheet will prevent users from entering time into that period. This prevent mistakes and accidents from occurring.

Works with Microsoft Project
Standard Time also works as a project management tool with (or independently of) Microsoft Project. Project tasks are replicated within the Standard Time database so they are available to the employee timesheet in all platforms. Standard Time acts as a weekly timesheet supplement to Microsoft Project. Tasks within Microsoft Project are automatically updated when resources use the timesheet software, so you always have up-to-date project status.
