Project Workforce Management
If your organization manages projects, and applies workforce efforts to
those projects, you need project workforce management software.
That's a mouthful. But it really just comes down to keeping track
of both your projects and employees who work on them. Our product,
Standard Time, addresses project workforce management in the areas
below. We'll discuss each in this article. But, we can also
schedule a live discussion, if you prefer.
Or, feel free to download Standard Time to
try them out.
- Projects allocated over many teams
- Resources assigned to multiple projects
- Task schedules and allocation
- Project, phase, and task costs
- Client receivables
- Salary requirements

Project Workforce Management
Projects allocated over many teams
Let's face it, you've got a big enough organization that your
projects span multiple teams. Some projects are strategic,
some in-house, and some administrative. A good project
workforce management product lets you manage these effectively.
Teams should see their own projects, corporate-wide projects, and
admin projects.
Resources assigned to multiple projects
Team members may be assigned to multiple projects and tasks.
This makes their work relevant in Standard Time. They don't
see projects and tasks belonging to others (unless they have special
rights). A lot of workforce management springs from these
resource assignments, including resource allocation.
Task schedules and allocation
Each employee has projects and tasks they are responsible for.
As a manager, you need tools to help you see those resource
allocations. They help you effectively manage the workforce
under you. See the exhaustive resource allocation dialog in
Standard Time for charts and grids containing hours and forecasts.
Project, phase, and task costs
Every project has client and salary costs. For that matter,
every phase within each project has it's own costs. And, each
task. That gets deep! Standard Time manages eight cost
values for every task, phase, and project. You see them
at-a-glance, in a dashboard view.
Client receivables
Client receivables are part of the project costs calculated in each
task, phase, and project. They tell you forecasted amounts,
actual amounts earned, and remaining amounts. You'll track
each project down to the dollar, euro, or pound.
Salary requirements
Do you pay your employees? Of course. And, you have a
payroll system to handle that. But, do you know how much
salary is burned on each project? How about for phase 1, 2,
and 3? Standard Time tracks it down to the task, and all that
rolls up all the way to the project level.
Schedule a demo
This can be a lot to deal with. You're probably already
dealing with a lot of it, but may not have the ideal tools.
Consider setting up a personal demo with
one of our specialists. They can walk you through the
tough issues. Good luck!
