Standard Time® contains job costing and time management features in a simple program. Invoicing, expense tracking, and time off tracking are a few of the other features available. You can cost-out a project before you even begin logging time. This lets you present it to the client for approval and bidding. After the project is won, you can see it in a special Project Revenue chart showing future estimated revenue.
Every job consists of tasks that may be billed at different rates. Our
job costing software provides three flexible ways to calculate job costs.
The first method uses categories, which may be assigned to tasks. This
is the most flexible system because categories may be assigned to resources
and groups. The second method uses rates assigned to resources. Whenever
a resource uses the time tracking program to log time, the resource rate
is used. The final method uses a simple project rate. Any time tracked
against the project will use this rate.
Actually, this application is perfect for consultants and small companies when billing time to clients. A client invoice may be generated from time and expense records, logged for clients. Web timesheet software lets you track time while you are working at client offices. Before running any invoice, you can lock down the date range so there is no possibility of adding more billable hours (that could be lost if the invoice already went out). That little feature alone saves companies thousands of dollars in unbilled time that is "lost" in the mess.
So this is a job costing and project management software rolled into one. The PM features are optional, but you may find them simple enough to try.
