Hosted Project Management: Standard Time
Standard Time is a project management software tool that can be used in
a variety of ways. One is a hosted solution where Scoutwest hosts
the application on our servers. This is a typical Software As a
Service (Saas) method. We handle the deployment, updates, and
server maintenance, and you simply use the software. In this mode,
you have no worries about server and network maintenance. You
simply use the hosted project management solution and pay yearly for the
service. Standard Time has other deployment options (where you
host it on your servers) but this page discusses the hosted solution.
Feel free to contact us for more information.

Standard Time for the Web
Hosted Project Management
Web based
As you can see from the image above, Standard Time is a web based
project management system. It lets you create projects and
tasks, and assign those tasks to employees. The tabs near the
top show the functions available to managers and employees.
Project tracking capabilities
As a hosted project management system, Standard Time lets you build
a hierarchy for your projects. Each project and task may be
assigned to users who track their time in the timesheet.
Actual hours are sent back to the tasks they represent. This
lets you compare forecasted hours to actual hours, thus improving
your project management. Administrators can grant rights to
see all the project tracking capabilities, or limit employees to a
simple timesheet. Each employee has his/her own access rights.

Project Management Columns
Data columns
The image above shows some of the project management columns
available on the hosted solution. As you can see, these
columns may be displayed in the project task view, and ordered as
you would like to see them. Standard Time tracks all project
fields plus client and salary costs.
Next steps
Having seen the basics of the Standard Time hosted solution,
consider scheduling a meeting with our
product experts. They will be able to walk you through the
hosted project tracking system. Or, if you would like to host
Standard Time on your own servers, feel free to
download it here. Good luck!
