Enterprise Project Management
Welcome to Standard Time! On this page, you will see the basic
tenets of our enterprise project management software product. We
offer the ability for teams to share projects, and for projects to span
the entire enterprise. Those projects collect all the necessary
data to execute enterprise projects swiftly and efficiently.
Integrated with the project management features is an employee
timesheet, which is used to collect actual project hours. The
image below illustrates our project hierarchy.

Private or Enterprise Projects
Each project in Standard Time may be assigned to groups or
individual users. That means, your teams can create projects
that are private to their members. You can see the results of
those projects at the executive level, but other teams cannot see
them. Other projects in your organization may be
enterprise-wide. I.e. they span multiple groups and teams.

Enterprise Project Management
Thirty-thousand foot view
It is important to view your project efforts from an organizational
level. You need details, but you also need summarizations.
The thirty-thousand foot level, you need to see your enterprise
projects in broad strokes. In other words, how efficient are
they? How do forecasts compare to actuals? What
percentage of time is spent on each core competency? Or, how
much time is spent on project work verses admin work?
Meetings? Travel? At a macro level, where is the time
spent? Standard Time seeks to deliver that high-level
information.
Microscopic level
Managers on the ground need a different view. They need to see
resource assignments, start/stop times, timesheet hours, resource
allocations, project history, etc. They can get all that, and
more. And, all those raw materials roll up for a complete
enterprise view of projects in the organization. In other
words, there's something for everyone.
Microsoft Project
No discussion of enterprise project management software would be
complete without Microsoft Project. They provide raw materials
to the equation. Standard Time integrates with Microsoft
projects, allowing you to view them along with Standard Time
projects. They show up in the timesheet the same, but allow
you to send actual hours back to Project. Some of your teams
may use Project, while others may choose to create native Standard
Time projects. Either way, you view them the same.
If this short overview has helped, we hope you'll
