Category based costing is the most flexible because it allows you to choose a different salary and client cost for each task you perform. Categories can be assigned to each resource, or shared globally. Resource based project costing uses simpler calculations based on the user who logs the task. A simpler activity based costing option is project based. It uses a fixed cost for any task within the project. Regardless of the method chosen, client and salary costs are both calculated and always available within Standard Time. Learn more about Project Costing

Works with Microsoft Project
Optionally, project tasks from Microsoft Project may be integrated right into Standard Time for simplified a timesheet and time tracking. The link is bidirectional, and always hot. Project planning may be performed in Microsoft Project software, and time tracking performed in Standard Time using the timesheet or timer.
