Standard Time®
2012
Team Collaboration Software
Use the screenshots and steps below to configure
Standard Time for team collaboration. These guidelines will
help you get the most from Standard Time.
1. Create Project Tasks
Click the Project Tasks tab near the top
of the main window and create project tasks for your projects.
Your team can use these to share information and collect timesheet
hours.

Collaborate on Projects
Projects in Standard Time may be shared
amongst your team members. You can assign them to individual
users, or workgroups. The tasks in those projects can also be
divided among the users assigned to the project. Each task can
have time limits, forcing employees to stay within your project
guidelines. Email notifications are sent to managers when
those limits are approaching. Tasks can also be removed from
team member timesheets. Each task collects salary and client
costs, and can be printed on invoices and reports.

2. Manage future task assignments
Choose View, Project Resource Allocation to
see how your team is allocated into the future. This windows
shows the number of hours assigned to each team member.

Resource Allocation
Project resource allocation allows you to
look into the future to ensure each team member has sufficient
project tasks to work on. It allows you to prioritize projects
that must be completed or make the most profit. You can see
the allocated hours for individuals, your workgroup, or the entire
team. A bar chart and two text grids lets you get down to the
details of hourly project time. You can even schedule employee
hours for each day.
3. Enter Hours into Timesheet
Team members see only their own projects and
task. Some tasks may be assigned to multiple team members,
allowing each one to enter time. Managers can run reports for
all employees.

Timesheets and Time Tracking
Each person on the team has
their own timesheet. Projects and tasks assigned to the
employee are shown on his timesheet only. Managers can
collaborate on projects and tasks by examining each employee
timesheet. They can approve time and expenses each week, and
see a list of employees who have submitted their timesheets.
4. Check Team Status
Choose View, Employee Status to see the last
tasks employees were working on.

Employee Status
You'll know the exact status of each
employee with this single view. It shows what each employee is
working. It also shows the number of project hours logged
today and this week. Team collaboration means knowing where
each member is, and what projects they are charging time to.
You can also approve time and expenses on a weekly basis for each
employee.
5. Track PTO, Vacation, Sick,
Personal
Enter PTO time off right in the timesheet.
A Gantt-style graphical view and calendar view lets you to see when
other team members are taking time off.

Time Off Tracking
Standard Time collects Time
Off requests for vacation, sick, personal, and other reasons.
It keeps balances of each employee's time, for each reason.
You can even configure it to calculate Compensatory time (comp time)
for hours worked in previous weeks.
