How to use Standard Time Project Costing
Standard Time calculates project costs for the purpose of billing clients and paying employees. Follow the steps below to monitor project costs.
1) Choose Tools, Projects
2) Click on the Project Cost button. The dialog below will be shown.

3) Choose the method to be used to calculate project costs. Each option may have its pros and cons for your business model. Choose the option that best fits your model.
4) Click the Project Task tab to show project tasks.
5) Choose View, Columns. The Columns dialog is shown. Notice the six cost columns. Any, or all, of these columns may be displayed in the Project Task view.

6) After displaying the cost columns that interest you, you will notice that when time is logged to a project task, the "actual" values are updated. These are the values that relate to actual time worked.
7) Open the Reports section at the left side of the main window. You will find "project cost" reports that may be used to give complete reports of work performed in projects. Simply click on a report to display it.
