Mike: : Mike with Standard Time® back with Ray White of Scoutwest answering your questions about how to use Standard Time® better. How you doing Ray?
Ray: All right.
Got a question for you today. Regularly occurring expenses, how easy is that to do in Standard Time?
We actually have an expense template feature for that. So let me switch over to the screen. I’m going to go to the expense sheet, we’re looking at the timesheet but I’m switching over to the expense sheet to show you where that would be. So one really popular reason to use recurring or use regularly occurring expenses would be driving. If you drive to a client’s office and its 60 miles you just type the number of miles in, this is automatically going to compute. You can see right here it computes the amount based on the distance and the dollar amount you will get for each mile you will drive.
Another thing might be, let’s say you’re doing packaging or other kinds of regularly occurring expenses. And you don’t want to go to the insert menu choose new expense for every one of those; you just type the quantity in. If I type 4 I now have 4 of these items. Another item that I buy on a regular basis for my customers or things that I’m selling or reselling to customers; I tap that and I’ve just entered those in and automatically puts those into the system.
That’s awesome. I have a question; when I’m out on the field I can still track my mileage and have it sync to this, correct?
Right, OK. You would probably in that case use the smartphone. So you can just pull up your Android or iOS editions, you’ll see an expenses section there that you’re able to put in those same kinds of expenses. Those will be synced with the cloud or to the desktop they’ll go right into the same place.
Easy as that people. Download it today and let us know what you think and we’ll see you next time.
