Microsoft Project tasks are assigned to Standard Time users based upon the resource name.  This means that Microsoft Project resource names must match Standard Time user names.  You should make sure these match before attempting to integrate Standard Time with Microsoft Project.


1) Open your project in Microsoft Project and check the Resource Names column.  Make note of the names you have used here.  These must match the user names within Standard Time.



 

2) Within Standard Time, choose Tools, Users and Organization.  The dialog below will be displayed.  Make sure the user names shown here are the same ones you use in your Microsoft Project schedule.  If you change user names here, make sure to notify existing users of Standard Time that their user name has changed.






3) If you are integrating with Microsoft Project MPP files (and not with Project Server), you must set up Microsoft Project to use time entered as Hours.  See Tools, Options, Schedule.  Change "Duration is entered in" to "Hours" as shown below.
